I’ve been reading through the Old Testament this summer. I’m struck by these verses from Isaiah (1:30 & 31), addressed to the people of Israel who had left the Lord for other gods. “You will be like a like a garden without water.”
I’m a gardener. One who happens to live in the arid state of Colorado. I’m proud of my plants you can see here. The only reason they flourish is because I water them. A lot. The parts of my garden and yard that don’t get enough water turn brown. The plants shrivel and die. They blow away. Gone and forgotten.
The Lord is our gardener. He provides the water for our lives. Any other source will go dry. Go to the true source and flourish.
I'd love to hear your thoughts...
