This week Dawn and I and several others are on a pilgrimage, defined as “a journey to a place associated with someone or something well known or respected.” In this case we are walking the Camino de Santiago, the ancient pilgrimage to the city of Santiago de Compostela, where the bones of Saint James are buried. This is our third time to make this pilgrimage and bring friends along with us.
We are walking 70 miles in 6 days across Northern Spain. Today is our longest day as we’ll walk about 15 miles. As you can see from the pictures it’s a wonderful trail and a meaningful experience to do by yourself or with friends. If this looks interesting to you, perhaps a pilgrimage is in your future? My advice – don’t wait. Do it as soon as you can. Opportunities to pilgrimage don’t come often and you will never regret the experience. As they say here on the trail, “Buen Camino!”
I'd love to hear your thoughts...
